Ning Qu, male, born in Aug 1978, Shen Yang of Liao Ning Province, P.R. China.
In 2001 he got his Bachelor degree from Computer
Science Department of Peking University
(now belongs to EECS of Peking
Univ.). Since 2000 fall, he joined MPRC
(Peking University Micro-Processor Research & Development Center, which originated from Computer Architecture Lab) and his advisor
is Prof. Xu Cheng. His major is
Computer Architecucture and his speciality is SoC and Software Hardware Co-design.
He started his Master study in 2001 and is promoted as a PhD. student from 2003.
He has been the leader of Operating System group since 2002.
His research areas cover operating system and computer architecture. And his
interests focus on performance measurement, evaluation and optimization, full system simulation and virtual machine, workload behavior characterization and analysis, distributed systems, network and security. His past and ongoing work includes Linux kernel analysis, porting
and debugging, system level performance evaluation and optimization, cache&tlb
impacts on operating system, full system simulator design and implementation, many
kinds of Linux device drivers design, implementation and porting. He also has
rich experience on Unicore and ARM related embedded architectures.
